Class work: Students wrapped lamp posts in ceramics, painted the bases and sculpted rats to create the gritty streets of New York City, which inspired the work of painter, Jean Michel Basquiat. At the beginning of the project students studied articles, documentaries, music and more to understand Jean Michel Basquiat’s work.
